Working closely with the Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation over two phases, the Bowdoin Geneva Housing Initiative creates 30 units of affordable housing in new construction on 18 scattered sites. Consisting of six single-family, seven two-family, and five duplexes, each initiative provides an adaptive unit for persons with disabilities. With articulated facades, bay windows, and lattice porches, careful consideration was given to the design to insure that the new homes would gracefully blend into the surrounding neighborhood.
