On four scattered sites along Magnolia Street, Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation and Luna Design Group took the abandoned single-family houses and created a series of two-family owner occupied housing, providing rental income for the homeowner. All homes were completely renovated, while maintaining and restoring many of the original decorative architectural elements which provide character and historical value to the neighborhood. All homes required review and approvals by the Boston Landmarks Commission.
